Caroline and Harrison’s nautical inspired summer wedding at Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club was the epitome of coastal charm. With sage green as the main color, accented by pops of blue and pink, their lakeside celebration represented their love for the outdoors and time spent by the water. Though they aren’t from the Florence area, they fell in love with its beauty during visits to Caroline’s parents’ lake house. It was important to them that their guests—many traveling from out of town—experience the serenity of Florence, Alabama.
Caroline and Harrison’s love story is one for the books! Before they even met, Caroline accidentally took the wrong suitcase home from the Nashville airport—one that just so happened to belong to Harrison’s sister. Fate clearly had a plan, bringing them together for a story that would eventually lead to their beautiful wedding day.
To bring Caroline’s vision to life, we embraced a subtle nautical theme with a sophisticated palette. The reception took place under a sailcloth tent, offering a light and airy feel that perfectly complemented the natural surroundings. Nautical-inspired touches, such as a sailboat-themed bar menu, natural rattan textures, and coastal accents, added refined charm to the decor. Sage green banquettes, custom-painted bars, patterned linens, and monogrammed napkins came together to craft a cohesive look.
The flowers, however, were the true showstopper of the day. Several large-scale floral installations made bold statements throughout the celebration. One unforgettable highlight was the baby grand piano centerpiece, surrounded by blooms and serving as the focal point for the dinner entertainment.
Caroline and Harrison’s wedding day began at the family lake house, where Caroline and her bridesmaids got ready amidst the beauty of the water. Caroline and Harrison’s dog, Oakley, even made an appearance in the wedding photos! The ceremony and cocktail hour took place by the lake, with guests soaking in the views before moving to the sailcloth tent for dinner. After dinner, the celebration shifted to the clubhouse, where guests enjoyed a fun lounge area, an incredible bourbon room, and a packed dance floor thanks to an unforgettable live band. The band’s energy kept the party alive, with every guest on their feet until the very end.
Every detail of Caroline and Harrison’s nautical inspired summer wedding reflected their love for the water. Surrounded by family, friends, and their beloved dog Oakley, they created a day filled with so much love. It was a privilege to bring their vision to life, and I know this is just the beginning of a lifetime filled with moments as special as their wedding day.
