Welcome to Huntsville, the fastest growing city in Alabama. There are plenty of great wedding venues to consider, a ton of cool spots for rehearsal dinners and plenty of ways to entertain your guests throughout the wedding weekend. Send them to explore the stunning Botanical Gardens, space and rocket center, and beautiful state parks. As an Alabama wedding planner I’ve planned many weddings in Huntsville, and I am constantly discovering new places. Here are my favorite Huntsville Alabama wedding venues:
Burritt on the Mountain: If you’re looking for a venue with sweeping views of Huntsville, this venue on top of Round Top Mountain is a nice pick. There are plenty of spaces to have both the ceremony and reception from the outdoor gazebo or viewpoint to the indoor reception hall, Barron Bluff. The 167-acre property has beautiful nature trails and Dr. Burritt’s historic mansion.
The Ledges: I love planning weddings at The Ledges, a private championship golf course in Huntsville. The food is delicious, and the property has a 36,000 square-foot, castle-like clubhouse filled with private rooms for a variety of different sized weddings. There are gorgeous outdoor spaces for the ceremony, cocktails, or breathtaking photos.
Huntsville Botanical Gardens: Another great place for weddings, I usually recommend brides look at the Celebration Garden for the ceremony and the Grand Hall for the reception. The Carriage House is a nice place for a rehearsal dinner, as well. Of course, you’ll find beautiful flowers and lush greens as the perfect natural backdrop for your wedding.
Huntsville has a ton of fun places to host rehearsal dinners, whether you are looking for more of a city vibe or a historic feel. Here are a handful of options:
Stovehouse: This unique spot, the home of a former stove factory, has a ton of unique and fun places to host a rehearsal dinner.
Huntsville Botanical Garden (The Carriage House)
The Standard: This unique, urban-inspired space is part restaurant and part market with exposed ceilings and a modern vibe.
Cotton Row: This restaurant offers Modern American food in a historic space.
Commerce Kitchen: Here you’ll find casual dining in downtown Huntsville.
I’d recommend these two hotels for your guests.
There is so much to do in Huntsville. The Space and Rocket Center is always a highlight, and part of the reason Huntsville is known as the Rocket City. Monte Sano Mountain is a stunning place to hike and bike. If your guests love museums, there are plenty to choose from including the Huntsville Museum of Art. There’s no shortage of cute restaurants and shops in downtown Huntsville, too.
