Jessica and Hanan’s wedding day at Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club was nothing short of magical. Their lakeside ceremony was deeply personal, held beneath a lush blue and white hydrangea arch atop an elevated white platform.

Guests sat in white garden chairs, shaded by blue umbrellas with custom green bases and blooming florals, while an incredible stroke of luck kept the rain at bay. Despite forecasts—and even visible rain across the river—not a single drop touched Turtle Point during their ceremony. It was nothing short of a miracle.

Blue-Inspired Design with Southern Charm

Jessica’s love of blue was the driving inspiration behind the event design. The sailcloth tent featured light blue draping, a soft nod to traditional haint blue Southern porch ceilings, creating an ethereal ambiance.

Other design highlights included:

• White trees rising to the tent ceiling, adding vertical interest and softness
• A floating “cloud” of blue hydrangeas above a custom lattice-front bar
• Built-in shelving with blue and white vases
• Monogrammed pillows and a custom monogram on the bar front
• Patterned linens in blue and green for a layered, textural look
• Ivory lounge furniture, gold accents, and a white baby grand piano, which played during dinner for a touch of classic Southern elegance

A Reception Full of Energy, Music, and Muscle Shoals Soul

Following dinner under the tent, guests moved into the clubhouse, which had been fully transformed. Bold blue and green accents, custom bars, cozy lounge vignettes, and a monogrammed dance floor wrap gave the space a vibrant, celebratory feel.

The band, Burning Las Vegas, kept the dance floor packed all night, even mixing in classic songs recorded in Muscle Shoals—a tribute to the area’s rich musical heritage.

Personal Touches That Made the Day Unforgettable

This day was filled with sentimental details that honored family, history, and tradition:

• Jessica’s “something blue” was her grandmother’s sapphire ring
• A red rose in her bouquet honored a late grandparent
• Heirloom cake servers and a piano performance added personal depth
• The couple served homemade peach Bellinis, made using Hanan’s grandmother’s original recipe from Harry’s Bar in Italy—a special coincidence, since Jessica had her first Bellini there as well

Jessica’s stepmom lovingly created many of the paper and textile details by hand—from monogrammed napkins to calligraphy and wreath sashes. The ceremony was officiated by Hanan’s cousin, and Jessica’s younger brother William proudly served as the ring bearer, a role he’d eagerly practiced for.
