Martha and Andrew’s story began in seventh grade—a childhood friendship that would eventually turn into something much deeper. Though their paths briefly diverged, they reunited in 2015 during their sophomore year of high school, and from that moment on, their love only grew stronger.

Navigating a long-distance relationship is tough, but Martha and Andrew’s commitment made it look effortless. Andrew attended the Naval Academy, while Martha studied at Alabama. They cherished every moment together. Their love story was written in letters during Andrew’s training, keepsakes they still treasure. Despite months apart, their love thrived, proving true love knows no distance.

Finally in the Same Place

After years of being apart, life brought them back together in Tuscaloosa, where they now get to experience the joys of everyday life side by side. The strength they built during their years apart only deepened their appreciation for one another, making their reunion even sweeter.

With the help of Martha’s best friend, Andrew orchestrated a picture-perfect lakeside proposal. Under the guise of attending a medical school cocktail hour, Martha arrived unsuspecting—only to be met with the surprise of a lifetime. With the lake as their backdrop, Andrew got down on one knee and asked Martha to be his forever.
